Dr. Özgür Öztan graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and received his Ph.D. on Interdisciplinary Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology from the same university. He started his professional career at HLC Clinic Ankara as the Founder in 2003 with an exclusive focus on the latest state-of-the-art methods for Hair Transplantation and is still pursuing as the CEO and a Medical Doctor. With the aim of excelling in his activities, he also added plastic and surgical operations at HLC Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery Center.

Hairline Clinic has been achieving a high level of understanding for high-quality hair transplants by consistently accomplishing excellent results. The variety of FUE extractors and punches that are being used (from 0.6 mm to 0.9 mm in diameter) regularly ensures accuracy and precision with every patient.

Since then, he has dedicated his practice to FUE. Before he started to perform and create the fundamental of the Beard Hair Transplantation procedure with the Bifurcated Needle, to gain experience he practiced on cadavers at Ankara University, Division of Anatomy for years. That is how he altered the bifurcated punch to its present feature using it for body hair transplantation and gaining the patent for it.

With Dr. John Cole, they have decided to pass on their knowledge and know-how on FUE to future hair surgeons together by establishing the HTTC (Hair Transplant Training Center) in Ankara. Hair Transplantation Training Center, which he founded in 2015, has been regularly giving private theoretical and applied education, conducting FUE workshops and General Hair Transplant Training Information to medical doctors from various parts of the world. Additional to these, he organizes Live Cadaver training and workshops.

Dr. Özgür's Hairline Clinic and his team are noted for excellent hairline design, repairing procedures, and scar revisions. Furthermore, the Hairline Clinic is known for outstanding results with Body Hair Transplantation.

Dr. Özgür is one of the few doctors who perform the Stick and the Place technique in Turkey. In addition to all his numerous society memberships, he is the current elected President of FUE Europe Hair Transplant Society of which he is one of the founders in 2012. He is also an ISHRS member, AAHRS, FUE Europe, an ISHRS Membership Committee member, and ISHRS Fight the FIGHT Subcommittee Member.
